The Boys Creator Surprises Fans with a Major Season 4 Update
The Boys has been a breakout hit Amazon Prime web series, and now, after a two-year wait, we are finally closer toSeason 4’s release. The coming season isonly a couple of months awayfrom its release, and recently, on April 10, 2024, the show’s writer, Eric Kripke, gave us an exciting update for Season 4.
The Boys arrived with Season 3 on June 3, 2022, with its first episode on the streaming platform, and it concluded on July 8, 2022. While everyone was enjoying the third season, Amazon renewed the series for a fourth season. The streaming platform confirmed that Season 4 will premiere with its first episode on June 13, 2024.
The fandom indeed had to wait almost two years for a new season, but The Boys franchise didn’t leave us with zero content during that gap. We got to see several live-action and animated spin-off projects of the franchise, including Diabolical, Gen V, and Seven on 7.
Now that Amazon Prime has run out of spin-off projects, it’s time for The Boys to return with the next season. We already knew about the release date, but recently, Eric Kripke confirmed via his X account thatSeason 4 filming and editing has concluded. The show is now ready for release.

The post also says that it could very well be the best season of The Boys yet. All the previous seasons of The Boys were phenomenal. The third season especially raised the stakes by bringing inJensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy. Seeing Soldier Boy going against Homelander was an experience of a lifetime for the community.
However, by the end of the season, we see Soldier Boy going back in the box. Jensen’s portrayal of the character took the series’ popularity to the next level, so it’s obvious that fans want to see him back in the upcoming season.
The creators somehow found a way to bring Soldier Boy in Gen V, but it would be interesting to see what they have planned for the character inThe Boys Season 4. Well, the fourth season isn’t that far now, so we will find out soon.
