Today’s Strands had the potential to absolutely wreck me, but somehow, it wasn’t much of a hairy situation. I surprised myself by solving it, but I sure do understand why you may be finding it to be difficult. So, I have curated a list of hints and answers for the June 18 NYT Strands down below!

Every Strands game has that one Spangram that you need to decipher and today’s was no exception. The hint for today’s Spangram is –“‘tash”.

If you have scrolled this far, you are probably ready to see the answers. So, let’s take a look at today’s theme words in Strands:
What seemed likehorseextended into HORSESHOE, and that turned out to be a theme word? I was baffled. I accidentally found PENCIL in the leftmost column and that turned out to be a theme word too.
Even now, they seemed more like random words than anything related to the theme. When I found MUSTACHE as the Spangram for the day, I facepalmed too hard.
Right after, I found TOOTHBRUSH in the bottom left. On the bottom right, there was WALRUS and the last couple of grids gave me HANDLEBAR. That concluded today’s Strands!
