Nothing Phone 2a’s AI Wallpaper Feature Is Simple Yet Elegant
Now that the much-anticipated Nothing Phone 2a (review) has been revealed, we can look closely at everything it offers. While the phone’sdesign and specificationsdiffer from what we have seen from the brand before, theNothing OS 2.5experience feels similar to what we saw on Phone 2. However, there is one new addition to Nothing OS on the Phone (2a) called “Wallpaper Studio,” which lets you create unique AI wallpapers. So let’s see how you can use it.
Create AI Wallpapers on Nothing Phone 2a
AI wallpapers are not new as we saw them in the Pixel 8 series last year, and more recently with theGalaxy S24 lineup. But this seems to be the first time we have seen the feature included in the sub-Rs 25,000 mid-range segment.
I got hold of the device a couple of weeks before launch and I’m quite impressed with this simple AI wallpaper feature. It lets you make custom wallpapers in addition toofficial Phone (2a) wallpapers. So, let me show you how the Wallpaper Studio feature on the Nothing Phone 2a works.
That’s it! You have successfully created an AI wallpaper and set it on your device. In case you are unsatisfied with the result, tap onRecreateto try again. You can even download the generated wallpaper by tapping thedownload iconin the top right corner.
Here’s a quick video of the AI wallpaper feature in action:

During my time with the Nothing Phone 2a, I tried different combinations and came up with some incredible AI wallpapers. Here are some of my favorite wallpapers that I created. If you like any of them, use the Google Drive link below to download their high-quality versions.
We have generated and included a total of 25+ eye-catching AI wallpapers for you in this link. Do not download the images above as they are resized, low-quality versions. Use this link instead.
At the time of writing, the feature appears to be only available on Phone 2a, but it may come to the Nothing Phone (2) and Phone (1) with later updates. The way Nothing has implemented this feature gives you limited options to play with, but it’s also simplistic. You don’t have to scroll through a list of options here and already have an idea of the kind of wallpaper you might get.
It’s an elegant implementation but a little too simplistic for my taste. With a few tweaks, like more color options and effects, and it could be perfect. For now, I prefer the prompt editor for wallpaper creation found on Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy devices.
That said, will you actively use this feature if you get the Phone (2a) or download your usual third-party wallpaper app? Let us know in the comments below.
