Genshin Impact 4.2: Furina Pre-Farming Guide

The hype around Furina is unlike any other character we’ve seen so far, and for a good reason. TheGenshin Impact 4.2 Livestreamrevealed information about her talents and abilities, revealing she’s an off-field DPS / Support that can deal damage and heal your party depending on her Arkhe state. Genshin Impact Furina

For those unaware, the Hydro “Archon” Furina is a Hydro unit (duh), a sword user who relies on her and her party’s HP to maximize the damage to her “members.” Hence, she’s more of a support / sub-DPS character than an actual DPS. One of her unique mechanics is her ability to switch Arkhe stats from Ousia (which is her default state) to Pneuma. We’ve explained this briefly in our Furina Builds article so do check it out. TL;DR, she can switch from being a sub-DPS / support to a healer and continuously heal your party members.

Furina Ascension Materials

Water that Failed to Transcend is a material that can be obtained after defeating a boss called Hydro Tulpa. Varunada Lazurite stones can be obtained by defeating Oceanids. Lakelight Lily is a special regional material found in the Erinnyes Forest, and finally, Whopperflower materials can be farmed by defeating Whopperflowers, primarily found around Liyue.

Furina Talent Level-up Material

The weekly boss material required to level up Furina’s talents is the recently released Trounce Domain boss, All-Devouring Narwhale. The same can be unlocked after completing Furina’s Story Quest, and you’ll need Lightless Mass to level up her talents. The boss also drops two other materials namely Lightless Silkstring and Lightless Eye of the Maelstrom, which you can convert to Lightless Mass by combining Dream Solvent on the Crafting Bench.
